Name: Kaymen
Age: 2
Sex/Gender: Male
Pack: Light
Mate: None
Personality: Kaymen is very timid and a very understanding young wolf. Always willing to to hear the other side of a story, he does not jump to conclusions. Kaymen has always been a type of loner. His ideal place is to the sidelines, watching situations from the outside so he can get the full perspective. However, it's not that he doesn't like other wolves, for no wolf could not live without the help of the pack. It's just that he prefers to be alone so that he can be free to think with out distractions. He can and will work with others if need be.
Description: Kaymen is mostly a gray and white wolf, His eyes are so brown that you can hardly tell the difference between his irises and pupils. Some jokingly say that this is because since he thinks so much, it drains the color right out of him. His ears are of a dark gray until the tips which have a more whitish tint. Kaymen's snout is pretty much the standard for the average wolf, with no unique features. Toward his back end, his fur starts to become dotted with brown. On his tail, the brown spots are more common, leading to an even mixture of gray, white, and brown.
History: Kaymen's father, Ulmen had been a native of their current pack, however, his mother Kayteo had been an outside. While the hunters were out to find food, they had came across Kayteo, exhausted. The hunters approached with caution, smelling that the female was not of their kin. They had her explain who she was and what she was doing out here. She told them that an invading group of wolves had ambushed her and some others that had broken a little ways from her pack. They had followed her for a couple of hours, so she was forced to run and could not stop. When they had stopped following her and she realized she could catch her breath, she had no clue where she was and could no longer smell or hear her family. She had been wandering ever since. The hunters seemed to believe her and allowed her back to their own pack where she was fed and taken care of. Almost the whole pack took a liking to her and treated them as their own.
As time progressed, Kayteo had almost forgotten about her old pack and even her old mate, Pallos. She had steadily fallen in love with none other than Ulmen, the handsome ladies man of the group. Ulmen secretly loved her as well, and after a few attempts to woo her, she accepted to be his mate. The two became inseparable.
Soon, Kayteo bore Ulmen a sing pup, which they named Kaymen, combining syllables from both of their names. They loved Kaymen very much and treated him the best any parents could, but then, a catastrophe hit. Kayteo and Ulmen left Kaymen with a friend of the family so that they may have a quiet walk. However, on the way, they saw a rogue wolf. The wolf came saw them as well and began charging at Kayteo. Ulmen jumped in front on his mate and snarled and growled. He was ready to defend her to the death. Surprised, the stray wolf backed up.
"Kayteo! It's me! Telly!" Kayteo was shocked. It was her best friend from her old pack.
"Telly, is it really you?! Where did you come from?!" Kayteo gasped. "This is Telly from my old pack Ulmen!" Ulmen did not know what to say, as he was too equally shocked, but in his subconscious, he was happy that Kayteo was being reunited with family.
"Yes, it's me! Our pack is on a relocation movement, we aren't that far from the boundaries of this pack's territory! We thought you were gone forever! It's been two years! We thought that group of darned wolves had gotten you!" Kayteo began explaining how she had gotten away and what her life was like now. Telly told her about what had happened in the pack since Kayteo had disappeared. When it came time for Telly to leave, Kayteo remained silent. When Telly asked her what was wrong, she responded:
"I'm going back with you. I love my current pack, but I need to be back with my first family, where I was born. I have almost forgotten about them, but I am glad now that I haven't. My soul needs to be with them." Kayteo looked at Ulmen. Shocked and silent for a while, he did not have the heart to stop his love. He merely nodded and looked at the ground. Kayteo continued: "I will not bring Kaymen with me unless you want me too. He is to the right age where he no longer needs my milk and I have no right to take him away from where he was born and belongs."
"I agree," Ulmen said gravely. "Kaymen shall stay here with me. I shall take care of him."
"Thank you Ulmen," Kayteo sadly responded. She moved to him and stroked her head on his neck affectionately and apologetically. "I will always love, and I am sorry I have to hurt you."
"I understand," he said in the same tone. Kayteo took one last look at her mate, turned to Telly and nodded. Soon, they were running away back to her old pack.
Ulmen's pack, for the most part, did not blame Kayteo for leaving. Most of them said they would have probably done the same thing if they had been in the same situation. As Kaymen grew up, he did not also blame his mother. He understood totally her feelings for her old pack. He just hoped she was happy.
His father was the top guard of their pack, so likewise, he was trained in this profession. Despite this, when he was invited on a mock hunting trip to test the skills of all young wolves, he scored exceptionally high. For a while, it was not sure whether he would become a hunter or guard as he was equally talented in both. In the end, he chose to become a guard to honor his father. Currently, he is still in training to become an official guard.
